Privacy Policy
An email-based assistant only works if users can trust it. This page explains what we process, why we do it, and your choices.
We do not access your inbox. The system processes only emails you explicitly send or forward.
We retain only what is needed to deliver reminders and summaries, then expire data by policy.
User content is not used for model training unless you explicitly opt in.
Users can request data deletion. We aim for clear, auditable handling.
Scope
This policy covers the Fwd. website and the email-based assistant service. When you use the service, you may provide us with content by forwarding emails or sending instructions. This policy does not cover third-party services you use alongside Fwd. (for example, your email provider).
What we process
- • Waitlist details (e.g., your email, self-selected persona, and any note you provide).
- • Message content you choose to send/forward (subject and body).
- • Email metadata (e.g., sender, recipients, timestamps) needed for processing and replying.
- • Extracted structured data (e.g., reminders, dates/times, titles) that the service creates to function.
- • Basic security and operational logs (e.g., to prevent abuse and troubleshoot reliability).
- • When you load our pages, third-party CDNs may receive your IP address and user-agent as part of standard web requests.
How we use information
- • Provide the service: extract reminders/summaries from emails you send, ask clarifying questions, and deliver reminders.
- • Operate and improve reliability: prevent abuse, debug issues, and maintain deliverability.
- • Communicate with you about the beta: service and onboarding messages related to your account/waitlist.
AI and model training
We use AI systems to extract dates, generate summaries, and draft replies.
Model routing: the assistant uses the gpt-oss model via Amazon Bedrock (AWS). This means the email content you choose to send/forward may be transmitted to and processed by AWS as a service provider solely to provide the assistant features.
User content is not used for model training unless you explicitly opt in.

Retention
We aim to retain information only as long as needed to provide reminders and summaries, maintain security, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods can vary by data type and may change during beta as we harden reliability.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and alteration. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your information. You can always request deletion of your service data.
- • Stop using the service at any time by not forwarding emails to your assistant address.
- • Request deletion by contacting us (see below) or replying to a service email.
Children’s privacy
Fwd. is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the effective date at the top of this page when we make changes.
Privacy Contact
For privacy questions or deletion requests, email privacy@fwd.do.
We operate conservatively: reminders are user-triggered, low volume, and designed for inbox placement (not marketing).
- • We process only what you send us.
- • We keep retention minimal by policy.
- • No training on your content without opt-in.
- • You can request deletion.
